Integrated Botany Education Center
2016
As a building designed on a virtual site, this design is intended to be located on a campus site. This building is meant to educate students about Botany in order to strengthen their awareness about the environment.

Section Sketch - S
This section sketch shows the initial idea of how I wanted to integrate greenery within the building. The plants hanging from the ceiling reach down to the bottom level where enclosed garden is, where plants grow upwards to meet with the hanging greens.

Gallery Space Sketch
This drawing generally illustrates my idea of the glass-enclosed garden surrounded by gallery spaces.

Axon SW
This axon exhibits the overall structure from southwestern view. The skylight roof structure is incorporated within the green roof, illuminating not only the gallery space that is open all the way up to the roof, but also the upper floors where offices and classrooms are located around the open hallway.

Axon NE
This axon displays the northeastern facades of the building, where outdoor classrooms are located outside the indoor classrooms. The vertical movement is achieved through the tower on the right.
